The $1K per piece is my estimate for real carbon fiber - I have no idea what it would actually cost, as I can't find anyone who's made these pieces out of 100% real carbon fiber.

Re: 2010 Mustang (Its growing on me) PICS!!
actualy i have seen real carbon fiber valve covers for sbc on 410 sprint cars was told they were 600-700 dollars im sure like every thing else they would be higher for the good cars (ford).those guys spend thousands to take ounces off the weight of their cars and then all get outrun by a little fat guy (kinser)

Re: 2010 Mustang (Its growing on me) PICS!!
Here's MRT's reply to my inquiry about their carbon fiber pieces they had on display last weekend:
Hello David, The prices for the parts are as low as we know how to make them. The prices shown at the show is for the finished part assuming your stock parts are provided as a usable core. There is a core fee that is returned to you upon receipt of a usable core.
We can apply special processing to remove the MRT decal, it will be an additional fee for special handling.
In summary - they charge extra for removing a decal they don't have to apply in the first place.
