Not to steal a thread but what kind of gears should I put in mine considering my max redline is 6250rpm or so I am told. I like to run a road course but might try drag racing later on and I plan on going F/I in the next year either twin turbo or Vortec intercooled.

I would first see what gear you currently have...that would give us a bearing on which to go with.

Thats a nice looking car. Thats a cobra r wing correct? Looks like a cobra r hood too.

Da*n the dealer for putting a GT bumper on it. That is BS.

That color is great on cobras for sure.

There are ways to beef up the IRS and upgrade the halfshafts. Just remember you do have 1,000 RPMs more in each gear then everyone else. I have 4.10 gears in mine right now and i think this car would be awesome with 4.30's or even 4.56's. Who knows i may switch them out and see how they perform.

Yeah, I plan on beefing up the IRS if I keep it, but I hear even people with beefed up IRS break HS's. I guess its the price you pay for how sweet it drives.

Yeah, I originally was planning on just putting 4.10's and FI it now, but I decided it didnt want to risk ruining my block so FI is way down the road with a rebuild. I am starting to lean a bit more towards 4.30's. They are a little steeper than a 4.10 but not as drastic as a 4.56.

How about this. I suppose that is "functional" in that if you race someone it will make them slow down to avoid the spoiler??

Great video. If I was the guy driving I would just act like nothing happened. People would say "hey, didnt you have a spoiler??" "what spoiler? I dont know what you are talking about". Then I would move out of town and sell my car.

George if your going to get blown soon then I would do the 373's if your staying NA perhaps a 410 would be the better choice. Is that max redline with a tune? or is that the factory rev limit?

I have no rev limiter with my tune it is self inflicted redline before my piston and rods get a divorce if I leave it in drive the shift points are at 6200 in a chosen gear like 2nd or 3rd the sky is the limit literally.

So I take it you have an auto car? With an auto I would say 373 is as high as you want to go.
