Re: gear install
George if your going to get blown soon then I would do the 373's if your staying NA perhaps a 410 would be the better choice. Is that max redline with a tune? or is that the factory rev limit?

David, are you stating that George will get blown with 373s?

I have no rev limiter with my tune it is self inflicted redline before my piston and rods get a divorce if I leave it in drive the shift points are at 6200 in a chosen gear like 2nd or 3rd the sky is the limit literally.

Re: gear install
So I take it you have an auto car? With an auto I would say 373 is as high as you want to go.

Yes it does. You get to tell the wifey that the motors broke and you need an all forged motor.

Why not F-1 cars are all auto's , hey when I say I am good trust me I can make a toaster go fast around corners. Seriously one of my only talents in life is I can drive the wheels off anything. I know that sounds like BS but hey it is very good BS and it's mine so it doesn't stink to me.

TO be fair...the F-1 cars are hardly a normal Automatic
They are semi-automatic using Paddle mounted shifters....so basically a stick car...shifting is as seamless as a tranny but the choice of gear is chosen by the driver...computer does not shift for them or limit them.A little tid bit of info about the Formula trannys:
"Formula One cars use semi-automatic sequential gearboxes with six or seven forward gears and one reverse gear. The driver initiates gear changes using paddles mounted on the back of the steering wheel and electro-hydraulics perform the actual change as well as throttle control. Clutch control is also performed electro-hydraulically except from and to a standstill when the driver must operate the clutch using a lever mounted on the back of the steering wheel."

Re: gear install
not the same George. For road racing a stick is a must. For drag racing an auto is ok for brackets
