New lowering springs for the cobra

I just won a ebay auction for a set of eibach sportline lowering springs. I have the ford lowering springs that lowered the rear around 1 1/2 inches and front around 1 1/4 inches. The eibach should give me 2 inches in back and 1.5 inches in front. Oh, I scored the brand new springs for 83 bucks.

Good find! The sportlines look sick!!

Can't beat that price either.

Yea, I totally didn't need these, but if I don't like them I can just sell them and make some money or sell my ford springs to Blair (hint hint).

yea, yea, I want wheels but nothing out there in 18's. I would like 20's but I want m/t drag radials, so 20's no go. So it looks like I am stuck with 18's for the time being. :)

David...since your lowered so much...You might look into some Lower control arm relocation brackets

Yea, I may have to do that, forgot about those. I was also getting the adjustable panhard bar. You have the relocations brackets right? Forgot to look when I had it in there air, did you weld them in if you do have them?

I have the relocation brackets. They are the CHE brand that bolt in. I should probably weld them in for safety purposes....but they havent done me wrong yet and I launch around 4200 RPMs. But again i dont have the power you do. I would suggest welding yours in.

You will notice the difference. Plants the power to the ground more evenly. Might help your ditch diving tendencies

Place the emphasis on "help" your ditch diving tendencies hehe...not prevent.

But in all honesty...I noticed instead of sliding around when getting on the car...it shot the car forward better after I installed the relo brackets.

As you know when you lower the car...the geometry of the LCAs gets all jacked and does nothing for planting your tires down.... car was a different animal after the relo brackets went on...very worthwhile mod

Yea, glad you reminded me of those, I would of total forgot. Looking right now as we speak. They really say you don't have to weld them in unless you run 1.5 60ft, uh, that ain't gonna happen. :)

Ummm dont be too shore my friend....your def in that 1.6 range with some traction. 1.5s is in the realm of possibility

I am gonna pick the front wheels off the ground like dein does with his cooper street tires after this mod.

Umm, I don't have jarrod money, $800 per rim is way out. They do look nice though, I can get shelby cs40 or cs66 in 20's for around 1100 for all 4. These are ok but I think alot of people have these. The good is they come in 18x10 and priced ok.

Oh this is so tempting but gonna wait to camber adjusters show up and I order relocation plus adjustable panhard bar.

David.. cut about 3/4 of an inch off the rear bump stops.....prevents the rear from bottoming when or if you ever have passengers in the rear. Just a suggestion

Well in the picture they provided 4 new bumpstops so I will probably just try those. I went to eibach website and they advertise 2.3 drop in the rear, lol, this may be to much. Oh wells, I will give it a whirl.
