Hi Guys and ladys,
My wife and I joined the club about 2 years ago but never were able to attend any of the meeting as we live in Muskogee and my wife is working 4-10's at the local VA hospital. We had a classic Mustang parts and Resto bus. in Muskogee for about 5 years till we had a 4 1/2 year audit with the IRS. We finally proved we were a working bus. but just about the time we got that cleared up, Ford came out with there"Mustang Trade Name" thing and since we were using Mustang in our bus. name; (BJ Mustangs classic parts & Resto.), we closed the doors. Ford legal called about 2 months wanting to know if we were still in bus. and I told them we had been out of bus. for about 2 years now. He said thanks for the up-date and said " They would not be bothering us again!!! We didn't like the idea of paying them $100,000 for the use of the "Mustang" name in our bus. title.and having to go to all the trouble and expense of renaming our bus.
We are having our old BJ Mustangs bus. auction Oct. 9 th , 9:17AM-- selling just about everything lose from the business and more. You can see some of the items at ( www.chuppsauction.com )
Anyway, we bought a 07-Torch Red 427R Vert for Joe Cooper- 1 of 17 Roush 427R Torch Red verts in 07. Having bought the 5 year-55 thousand mile warranty, I haven't started with any after market performance parts other that what Roush sells for the 427R's. We had the Stage 3 rear facsia with off roads and a polished Roush blower installed before we took ownership of the car.
We were at the Joe Cooper car show several weeks ago and won Joe Cooper's "Best of Show" . We were thrilled since we had to compete against Jerry and Cherie Burgeron's TrackPak and P-51 and a new Black and White Shelby GT 500 KR car and probably some of you guys cars!!! I think it was our Carbon Fiber Valve Covers that caught the eye of the manager AL!!!
We will be joining you all at the 2nd Annual Fall Cruise and look forward to meeting you guys and ladys. My wife & I hope to be able to start attending meeting and events and getting to know you all better!!!

Welcome John & Becky to the BMMC Forum!!!
Sorry to hear about the business issues. Some times its just time to move on. Life is too short. Stop in and lend some insite and knowledge to our Forum and watch for some events/shows to attend. You should have alot of fun with the BMMC guys next month!! And if you have any new pics of your 427R post them up. I have a few but they are older ones!!!
