KR shifter

When I ordered my six speed tranny it came with a Ford Racing "KR" short throw shifter. I am not sure of this shifter. Has anyone tried it out? is it better than the Steeda Tri-Ax?.....

Heard it was good in the gt500 world, everyone swears by it. I like the stock one on mine so I am scared to change to the kr one.
