A Couple of Changes to the Interior

Post by coolhandluke on February 11th 2009, 12:53 pm

Here are just a couple things that I've added lately...black dash vents, Shelby floor and trunk mats, and a custom GT 350 tribute edition engraved dash plaque and fuse box cover. My to do list for the GT 350 tribute theme still includes:

Hurst Billet Short Throw
Cervini 67 hood
Hood pins
CS, Cervini, or 3D Carbon lower side scoops.
Matte black racing stripes (undecided).

If any one is interested in custom dash plaques, radiator shroud plaques, or fuse box covers for the S197's I know a guy who does excellent work with 1/4" brushed aluminum or chrome finished acylic. He can give you any combination of two of the three items that I listed above for $40 - $45 shipped. cheers

I know that he would absolutely be interested in club plaques. As long as it doesn't interfere with any copyright restrictions, he will do any type of design that you want.

If you guys can get me an estimate on how many you are thinking, I'll check with him. The dash plaques are normally $30 shipped so you should be able to get an even better deal than that for a group order.

Are you wanting him to use the same BMMC logo that is on the shirts, hoodies, etc? Each plaque would be personalized with your specific vin etc as well.

Sure, I'm down for club dash plaques! As long as we don't have to have our club president's picture engraved on them also - can't drive with my eyes closed.

No - have to get it etched in all your 500's windows. And stenciled in 6" tall black numbers on the rear bumper.

And once again. It took 2.2 post to get off topic. Not bad. We've been averaging 5 posts.

Paul...do you want to start a new thread about the dash plaques?

I have emailed Wes from Wicked Customs and given him the logo off of the hoodies as well as the logo at the top of the page so that he can come up with a couple templates for us.

I'll post photos of the dash plaques as well as other samples of his work in the thread as well.

I spoke to Wes and he is currently on vacation and will be so for another week, but he is very interested in putting together club dash plaques. If you guys can give me a round about number and all of the information that you want included on the plaques, I'll help coordinate everything.

Here are a few examples. The pics really don't do the plaques justice...they look 100x better in person. I have a couple better pics of mine that I can pm you. I just have my VIN on there and don't want to post them for everyone to see. The way I installed my dash plaque looks 10x better since I added extra tape to help it contour to the slope of the dash. The pic below looks like it may not be entirely flush.

You will be even more impressed when you can see the finished product in person. I bought my plaque and fuse box cover just to see how they would turn out since the price was so cheap. I couldn't believe my eyes when I opened the envelope after getting them in the mail. I was expecting thin gauge aluminum w/ printing and was stoked to see that it was engraved 1/4" acrylic. Can't beat the price for what you get.

You can get a fuse box cover and dash plaque combo for $40-$45 shipped. If you are buying just a single plaque or cover they are around $30 shipped. This is the pricing that applied to me...you may be able to get a discount if enough people are interested.
