Full time BMMC Tuner?

Post by Dein on February 13th 2009, 11:23 am

Alright, as you all know... I'm kinda new to the club. From my understanding, Greg is a tuner. Is he the only tuner the club has?

The reason I am asking, is I am kinda interested in Tuning.... Greg, I don't want to get in your lane or step on your toes (So, please let me know if I am doing so!)

Would their be a steady amount of business from the BMMC (Basically to pay for equipment) to look into tunning? I would tune anyones cars for free, but would have to charge a small amount to pay for the equipment.

What's everyones thought on this?

Side Note: I am trying to work on cracking my SCT XCal 2 lock problem... You are suppose to return your car to stock, before changing to another vehicle.... Opps.... I'll be damned if I pay $150+ to SCT to unlock my tuner... BTW, Greg it is an XCal 2... if you think you can unlock it, please PM me!

Curtis doesn't know how to call people back! Justin could hook me up.... but if I am going to spend all this damn money.... maybe I should get the tuning software myself!

Its all good Dien. I think everyone is interested in tuning, to get the software you have to be a dealer or buy Pro Racer Package
I can take a look at your tuner if you would like or see if it would be cheaper through me

I will bring the tuner to you... the next time we meet up. I may still look at the software though.... it might be a worth while investment!

Tuning definitely is an art. Ive been curious as well to see what all goes into preparing the right tune that will bring performance yet still be safe.

Like Greg said you will need the software and I dont believe its cheap hehe... Good luck!

If I can ever get all my other projects out of the way I was going to look into figureing out how to do custom tunes as well but I would be willing to pay a little to get a custom tune done cheaper than other places.

Greg is who we are recommending now. "Others" in the area do not call or write you back. Thus the club can and will not recommend them.

In order to actually get the software, etc. to tune you have to take the course etc. Basically become a dealer.

I don't have a problem becoming a dealer, I already have an llc I can use.... Like I said, I don't want to step in Gregs lane..... I know that this is almost a dead topic... Greg, no reply is nessesary... but next time you are doing a tune... if you don't mind... I would like to watch and learn.... I'll speak with you at the next meeting!

I have E-mailed SCT just wanting info on their tuning software, dealer or not... I want to look at all the options!
