Hey guys, I am looking to get some new tires before the baby gets here...hopefully. Which ones do you guys suggest? I just need some for street use no drag racing. And of course I want something that will look good...lol.

Re: Tires
nitto 555's or bfg kdw2's are usually the most popular.
cheaper, but don't grip as good would be sumito (sp) or falkens

Re: Tires
I very soon to be in that same category. Not prego... Just needing tires.
I run Toyo T1Rs... I've really liked them! They are a tad pricey though. BFGs K/D and Sumitomos HTR Z II are also worth a look. I'm get one of those three.

Re: Tires
i'm on my 2nd set of kdw2's. they do grip like glue and are also excellent in wet weather. if you're not using them at the track or doing burnouts with them they'll last you a good 30+ thousand miles. they only thing is they are slightly louder than the stockers. i don't know about nitto's, but i've heard they are quieter than the bfg's

Re: Tires
price shop online then call around town. you'll probably find a few places that will beat the price you find online as long as it's listed. check www.discounttire.com they say they'll beat any online price that's not a sale price shipped. unfortunately they don't have a store in the tulsa area, but you can still get the tires warrantied through them. just depends on if the penny pinching is worth it to you. if online is even going to be cheaper that is.

Re: Tires
I've had the Nitto nt555s and BFG KDW IIs. Both are great tires.
The KDW II's look better and have a more aggressive tread pattern.
I can't compare how the dry traction was between the two because my KDW IIs are on my Cobra while my Nittos were on my 06.
However the Nitto's gripped pretty well on my 06 with 290-300 whp.
I've never had my KDW II's out in the rain but my 06 had the Nittos and they worked pretty decent in the rain.
+1 about the KDW IIs being a sightly louder tire.
