DTE FLI DATA ERR: FUEL LEVEL LOW

Post by fst06stg on March 24th 2009, 4:42 pm

anybody had the DTE FLI DATA ERR: FUEL LEVEL LOW message show up? ive had it happen a few times. i was told that there is a problem with sulfur building up on the sending unit brushes. i was also told to use techron or seafoam to clean the system. i opted for the techron for now. anybody had this error message show up or used techron before?

I ran techron and it helps. I liked it. It didn't give me any errors.

Greg told me yesterday that DELPHI had that problems with the contacts on their sending units a few years back.... I have never seen that pop up, even when I had my 06 GT.....

This post is a few days old, but did you get it figured out?!?

it showed up in the gauges where it shows the fuel economy and miles til empty, etc. etc. anyway, like i said, theres no mechanical problems when it happens, it just shows the error and the fuel gauge goes to E. i thought it might be a sensor problem.
