Really? He's in OKC! He's thrown down the gauntlet over on a board that I frequent. It's just a small Forum that locals here in L-town come to and a few guys up in T-town go to. The guy that started the forum is now working at OSU as an engineering instructor.

Sounds like the stock eaton that comes on the lightning, but with a smaller pulley...possibly ported roots

Yeah, from what I hear it is a Lightning motor. Not sure of the supercharger he's running though. I didn't get alot of specifics on the car (like if the motor is built, what SC, how much boost etc). Sounds great though!

I know it sounds like my car is a truck running open headers. There is a reason for that though. It's because that old pickup truck I was running, had open headers. Sorry about all that.

the 08 could have managed a better 1/4 IMO.

It's all about the weight. But I agree that with a little practice the GT500 should be able to turn a much better time. As should the Terminator. They call those guys pro drivers? Right! I can turn repeatable 1/4 mile times faster than both of those cars with their "pro driver" in my 06 GT. Whats worse is that the viewing public expects that those cars will only perform that well at best. Oh well when you hand them their ass on a platter you can just smile!

You gotta remember though, those were bone stock cars. You can't really compare a heavily modified car to a stock car. Yeah, I can hand a stock GT500 it's ass every day of the week, been there - done that...without sticky tires. That is an apples to oranges comparison though.

Well even stock I would expect a little more. :)

Stiring the pot are we David?? I've beat 2 Terminators at the track...havent lost to one yet... But traction was an issue for both of them...traction can mean an spanking!! But if one ever hooked up I would have lost im sure. I ran a 12.8 on those runs
