Just bought parts!
Man I just dropped a load on suspension and tuner parts. Now I just have to see how much trouble it's going to be to put all that crap on!

Thanks George. I would like to make a few more runs at TRP and maybe Hallett in it's stock configuration before I mod though.

I think we will have a challenge night at TRP here soon, if the track ever dries out.

Re: Just bought parts!
Thanks to whomever moved this thread out of the saloon and to where it belogs.
OK, here we go.
Front and rear sway bars (yes, I will be using the springs from you David!).
Upper and lower adjustable control arms with relocation bracket.
JLT Stage II tune (pulley, CAI, plugs & SCT)
SLP muffler deletes (I like the way they eliminate the cabin "drone")
I think that's it for now.
VRROOM!!!!!
Gotta get ready for the Fleetwood Mac concert. The Limo will be here at 5:00.......

Looks like a copied list from mine, should be good to go now minus the sway bars.

Well yes, I did like your SLP muffler deletes. The Stage II and control arms are a given and have always been on the menu. George got me started on the sway bars for Hallett.

Re: Just bought parts!
I believe you need to set the pinion angle again to -1 degree (tilted down) to reduce the noise from you drive train. The relocation bracket will knock it out of wack. I had to do it to mines. I used a 1 1/2" wrench for the adjustment on the upper control arm.

Re: Just bought parts!
On mine I used the relocation bracket plus a two inch drop in the rear. I measured the angle and from what I can tell it looked good. I drove over 100mph and no vibration or noises as of yet for me.

I'll probably solicit help for some of it. Enough people here have put this stuff on to know how to adjust and torque it properly.

Well I can take care of those pretty easy, the only thing that scares me is the damn pulley. I hated doing it to my car, I even have the right tool for it, still nerve racking. I borrowed my tool out to another gt500 owner and he has had nothing but problems installing his pulley/hub, kind of made me gun shy now.

My wife has informed me that a big box was delivered today, and FedEx left a note that they had another one for me. Man, this will be like Christmas!

I have a pulley puller as well. Might be different, who knows, your welcome to give it a try if you need one.

Yeah the air filled ones dont seem to have a tight enough fit. Hopefully the rubber ones will grip it a little tighter!!

Yea, that one will work but it eff's up the pullies on gt500's. The one I got wraps around the whole pulley and its ribs, works like a charm. Installing the hub/pulley from metco different story, I would almost recommend Blair getting a stock 2.65 pulley cause of the problems with the metco hub/pulley. The guy who borrowed my tool, broke my tool twice and have gone through 2 metco hubs already and still hasn't got the pulley on yet. I didn't know Blair was already going to order all this otherwise I would of warned him ahead of time. Here is the one I am talking about, stock look alike pulley and goes on like a stock pulley.

Re: Just bought parts!
Well, we'll see how it all goes. Got all my suspension parts yesterday except for the rear sway bar. Gonna add a lot of weight to the car, but if it helps hook up and makes it run flatter, so much the better. It will be interesting to see what FedEx delivers today....
