Anyone up for TNT @ TRP Friday May 22?

Blair what were you launching at? You should leave at idle with the stock rubber. Ease it out of the gate then once you are moving get into the throttle. Are you power shifting? Also your MPH seems a bit low. Traction issues generally relate to higher trap speed? More info needed indeed.

Yeah, my better runs are when I take it easy out of the gate. Sometimes I get hasty though. Not power shifting. I could get more out of it, but it would take a perfect launch and shifting right at 6 k.

It does take alot of self control to keep from mashing the throttle to quick. It's a harsh land.

Well, my first run against the Lightning, he jumped me off of the line and I ate him up at the end. The car seemed kind of sluggish. It tends to be like that when you forget to turn the traction control off! Still ran a 13.5 or so.

Against the Vette, I got a decent launch and we were pretty much even through the 60'. He pulled me hard in the middle and I pulled him in the end losing by a fender. The fact that he pulled me in the middle surprised me. I got a 13.3 that run.

The last run, I was all ready and primed to make a good run, then a motorcylce 1 car ahead of me blew up and spewed oil all over the track. After waiting more than an hour for them to clean up, my engine had cooled and the car was ready to run. Unfortunately I wasn't and lost concentration. I just spun all the way through first and second and missed shift points etc. Really sucked. A 12 yr old could have done better. Thanks goodness that video wasn't posted!

what is crazy is there ARE 12 year olds with sponsors and everything.....
