Come on out to Hallett Friday or Saturday 29 & 30.
Just to watch the fun. There may even be some slots available. Here's an email I got from Connie Stevens at Hallett:
There will be some good-looking cars* at Hallett Friday and Saturday.
Thanks to many of our devoted drivers who have been telling their friends about
High Speed Touring, we have over 20 cars entered Friday and nearly 40 for Saturday.
We are "touring" clockwise Friday and counterclockwise Saturday; so those
doing both days will be enjoying the diversity of Hallett Motor Racing Circuit.
Walk-ins are welcome - so continue to invite your friends to come along!
They can fill out the entry form when they arrive at the track.
(As mentioned in previous emails, we are waiving the membership fee for this
special HST-only event. One day $120, two days $200. What a deal!)
May 29 and 30
7 a.m. Gates and registration open
8:30 Drivers meeting in the Winners' Circle
9:00 HST Experienced drivers on track
9:00 HST Driver Ed class on the second floor of the tower
Friday we will be alternating sessions between two groups (novice and experienced)
and Saturday three groups (novice, intermediate, and experienced). Groups will be
decided at the drivers' meeting. A minimum of seven sessions.
Be sure to bring a long-sleeved shirt, long pants, comfortable shoes, and helmet.
(If you don't have a helmet, we have them for rent.)
* These are some of the cars entered: 350Z, Accord, Atom Ariel,
Austin Healey, BMW 330, BMW M3, Boxster, Cayman, Chev Z28, Cobalt, Corvette,
Dodge Charger, Evo XmR, Shelby GT 500, Manta Mirage, Mazda, Miata, Mustang,
Nissan 240sx, Porsche 911, RSX -S, S2000, SVT Focus, Viper, VW Gti, ZO6

Just a reminder to those that aren't going to the rice-fest and would like to see some real racing. i will have an extra helmet and I'm offering rides to those few brave souls....
