You mean Government Motors. Isn't that the first steps of socialism?

Re: GM Bankrupy
Well it may make things better for gm, but they are gonna loose alot of customers. I hear alot of stories of people looking at ford products that where diehard gm/chrysler people that won't buy from them if they go banktrupt.

Re: GM Bankrupy
Last Fall, I opposed ANY government intervention in Detroit. My premise was that BK would still be the inevitable fate and that ONLY BK would allow the companies the ability to dissolve contracts with the UAW, which were the major contributing factor in their financial decline. An aquaintance of mine was a top executive in a major east coast financial institution that helped the Big 3 with their benefits and pension plans. He said that as early as 15 years ago the math was not adding up and everyone at the table knew that this would be the end result, management & labor both knew! And no one had the balls to say STOP!
Now, with the Socialists calling the shots in Washington, BK means nothing in regards to being able to castrate the UAW because Obama owes them his election and he is going to protect their interests at the expense of the company & the tax payers (that's us, guys).
Read the articles on FoxNews.com about this in comparison to Amtrac 39 years ago. Mark my words; in 50 years GM will still be "Government Motors"!

At least the rediculous Union Contracts will dissolve. I heard people crying about $15 an hour starting pay! The Union is what ruined GM...not the economy

GM could have saved about $202.5 Billion over the last 5 years if not for the union

Yeah i read that article and i agree that Gov Motors is going to end up just like amtrac they have not improved in the last 39 years and GM wont do any better. I guess obama will take charge is designing a "peoples car" for us like the original beatle but less succesful, probably something like those little fisher price cars. lol
Im really amazed that more people are not mad about this, we are sinking 50 billion into a company that does not build many good cars and is poorly managed so now we own 60% of the formerly private company. welcome to socialism indeed, hope you like vodka!
Oh and im glad my 68 impala might be worth a little bit more now too!
