Couric and Biden interview

Oddly, one of the things that Biden says is that one of the signs of a good leader is to "...demonstrate that he or she knows what they’re talking about….”

Biden says in this interview that “When the stock market crashed, Franklin Roosevelt got on the television and didn’t just talk about the princes of greed."

The issue here is, you have a "journalist" (I think there's more research done by 14 year old's blogging about the latest American Idiot...err...Idol than by 90% of the media) who is interviewing a man who became the second most powerful man in the country, and by virtue, the world, and NEITHER of them have a clue what the Hell is going on.

You see...Franklin Roosevelt was NOT the President when the market crashed. When that happened in 1929, the outgoing President was Calvin Coolidge, and the President-Elect was Herbert Hoover.
So much for deomonstrating that Biden knows what he's talking about.

IF Katie Couric were ANY kind of journalist, especially considering how much of a pitbull she tried to be for the Democratic Party in her interview with Sarah Palin, she would have pointed out to Biden that Roosevelt was not the President at that time.

One would also think, with Couric being "in the biz" that she would know that there were NO commercial broadcasts over television until about 10 years AFTER the market crashed.

I wonder if this has something to do with Couric posting NBC's lowest Nielson Ratings for news since 1991/1992 when the ratings began. Hmmm...
