HELP! Flashed my car and now it's dead!

Installed CAI, flashed the car, and now it won't start. I tried to re flahs it and/or return to standard tune and it returns error "Wrong vehicle". I'm screwed. What now? POS!

Where did you get it from, jlt? If it won't let you return it to stock there is a probem. I would contact the seller asap, they can send you a new yune and hopefully get your stock one back.

Well your not totally SOL, I can reprogram you car back to the factory program with ford IDS, just need wifi.

You gave them your computer code? Where is it purchased from?

I got it from JLT. Cannot get a hold of them. Need wifi? How do we do that?

What he is saying is he could bring the ids to you if you have wifi. He could use as built data to reprogram you pcm back to stock to get it running. I am sure Jay at jlt will get back with you asap!

Well, apparently there are 3 tunes in my SCT. CAI, CAI & pulley, and stock. I think I zipped out the memory in my car's computer and the SCT will not recognize it as a GT 500. Bummer.

Any word yet?? Did you get it running? You need any help??

No luck at all. I need something! Probably need my car's computer reprogrammed or something. The tunes are in my SCT, but won't load it because it says "Wrong car". It must look like a ferrari to the SCT or something...

Has your gt500 been in for service? Ford recieves updates and reflashes your PCM on occasion. If they reflash your PCM they could have changed the strategy code. So basically your PCM code you gave jlt may not match up to your actual PCM code now. So the sct tuner doesnt recognize your car.

My theory

first time for everything but i disagree with jarrod on this one i think your sct is the problem i think you have to get a new strategy then get your sct redone. but what the hell do i know.just a guess

David L changed the oil, brake fluid and rotated the tires. I'm sure they didn't reflash the car. Also, I never gave JLT a PCM code. I just ordered it online and told them I had a 2008 GT 500.

Well that is strange, pretty sure you need the 4 digit pcm code to flash it.

i think you just found the problem

OK, so where do I get the 4 digit PCM code, and better yet, why didn't they ask for it?

Now that we have possible identified the problem, what's the solution?

The pcm code is a module on the passenger side of the motor right by the headlight. You will see a module with a sticker that has a 4 digit code. I would just call jlt Monday, give them the code and they should take care of the rest. Does the jlt kit come with the evo tunes still?

Seems the PCM sode is SXH1. CAI looks good on the car even if it doesn't run! I'll call them and send another email. Not sure if it is an evo tune or not.

Actually, I planned on getting Greg to dyno tune it for me once I got all the "stuff" installed.
