Re: REFRIGERATOR ADVICE
We are looking at frigs also. We have one but its older and going in the new garage. We will probably go with a bottom freezer and we plan on staying away from stainless(finger Prints) if we can. They make a 'fake' or treated stainless(forget the name) but from so of the reviews I've read, even it leaves finger prints. We may go with a black frig and stainless trim? That would still match the kitchen. We have until the 29th +-. Kenmore Elite is rated the best in CR.

Re: REFRIGERATOR ADVICE
Kenmore?!?! Unless whirlpool has started making a better product for Sears... i would stay away from that crap. The fake stainless from Whirlpool is Satina...(mispelled, im sure). It is a fact that you are in your fridge 70% (10% +/-)more than your freezer. I like the french door bottom mount freezer

Only 'cause you responded, Paul.
We bought a Whirlpool side-by-side (with ice & water dispensers) for our house when we moved in 7 years ago. Later we bought a Whirlpool microwave for above the stove. Got them both a Lowes on sale, and Lowes even installed the microwave. We haven't had any problems with either.

I also have my reservations about Sears and we kept shopping. Doesn't look like a Kenmore is in our future. After looking at them and others they just didn't seem to meet our needs. We found a Nice LG and at least from the reports meets all our needs of the new house. We shall see. The Kenmore we have now is a cheapy we bought 17 years ago and has been flawless but its too small and no longer efficient. Time to upgrade....

That's sort of the same issue we had. So we had to start looking for a counter depth frig or at least one that was not as deep. The LG we have picked out is 31 1/4" X 69 3/4" Tall X 35 3/4" two drawer bottom freezer. Its almost built for the opening in our kitchen.

Did you mix brands? Or are all your appliances LG?
