Re: Garage Floor Epoxy Coating...Need some help BMMC
depending on the what it will be used for (grade of vinyl) $6.00 - $13.00 per square foot.

I'd take a picture of what's behind my garage and put that on the garage doors - instant invisible garage!

Yes Jarrod, I had applied Epoxy Shield on my garage floor. Its been probably 7-8 years now and am on the '3rd' application and its peeling as well. I painted it just before I bought the stang in 2007 and its peeling in spots. Still better then bare floor but there must be something abit more 'permanent out there. Not as cheap but it may last longer. For the money its not bad. Our new home has a coated garage floor but I'm not sure who or what applied it and its in perfect shape.

Thanks Chris!! Can you take a picture of the coated garage you say is in perfect shape? I could probably shoot it over to a couple of friends that can spot what it is.
I would like to find a more permanent solution. Dont want to keep applying coats ever 2 years...ya know?

We are going over to do a 'once around' on the new home tomorrow. I will take some pics of the garage floor then. It may be the same paint stuff I have now but I'm not sure. Its not a gray color like mine current home but that 'tan' color with flakes in it so it may be the same. Not sure when it was applied but the house was built in 2007 and the floor looks way better then mine. Not sure I will ever find out who or what it is? Its a 3 car garage so I'm real happy about that. The Stang will have its own little nesting area away from all the other stuff.

Don't do it,you'll be sorry.I can show you more bad ones than good. After the concrete cures(2-4 years)put a good sealer down and add a couple coats of wax.Just remember I told you so.

I just hate the look of a oiled up stained garage...LIKE PAULS
I know thats what their for...but I really like the astetic look of the coated floor. Also does a good job for cleanups.
Thanks for the info Toni...I too have seen some bad ones. Kinda of weighing all of my options at this point.

We are moving to the Claremore area near the lake. I've been in Owasso for 17 years and it was a time for a change and we found a great place. Moving isn't any fun though.
