Re: Ran the 09 GT @ TRP
Well we ended up going out after all.. The car ran a best of 13.54 @103 and change! WOW i am jst amazed at this car!! I got to line up two times with another CS GT with mods and was happy to know i was 3 tenths faster.. All in all 6 passes (worst of 14.00 2.4 60') and i had fun bertaing up on a new Challenger, Charger, the CS GT, and a Z28 who thought he would be slick and jump in line to run me... HA HA HA

Good stuff! Lol. That's almost exactly what I ran stock on the factory rubber. Just wait till you get a couple small mods. 12 sec timeslips are just a CAI tune gears and rag radials away! It is fun spanking those other "faster" cars huh. Lol.

Wow Brad...great time!! Just beat my previous best stock time. You certainly can drive!
These cars are a blast to drive! Can you see why we defend them the way we do. Most people havent had the priviliage of driving one and seeing the improvements Fords made. I love this car and wouldnt trade it for any other. Its just a supercharger away from being my dream car!
Hey Brad...when are you going to buy one of these?

IDK right now I love my Malibu!! When i do look into getting a newer play toy these will be at the top of the list no doubt, it'll be a 03-04 cobra or one of these.. I've yet to drive a cobra though...

Not trying to offend anyone, but once you do drive one, the 05+'s will fall to second on that list! Independent rear suspension makes for a really nice ride, not to mention the whine of the Eaton! BTW, nice job improving on friday nights runs!

I love my cobra and never get tired of the whine. It is by far the best mustang I have owned. Would like to have another one someday to park in the garage next to it

Termis are awesome! But the S197 chassis is leaps and bounds better from a structure stand point. It's really a well built platform. While I wish they'd offer a IRS the live axle works pretty dam good.

What he said, I drove them all, from fox, sn95 and s197, the 197 platform is so much better, not even close. Sure its bigger, wider and heavier, but the ride is sooooooooo much better.

Re: Ran the 09 GT @ TRP
Then only thing the S197 is lacking of the cobra is a Supercharger and internals. Id rather have the performance of a Cobra in an S197 body. Slap a Techo, Kenne Bell, Whipple, Saleen, supercharger on an S197 and fall in love all over again!!

Re: Ran the 09 GT @ TRP
I agree. With the whine of a supercharger under the hood it would be all that and a bag of chips!

Brad...since you use to work there (trp)do they turn the redlight off for you or something? you were cutting some unreal lights! that white gt/cs you pulled a car and a half on him right off, he spun bad to...why do you need slicks? you didnt spin at all, but the KB on the other hand you will need some. you did make yourself look like an ass brakechecking at the topend of the track before the finish though!

If he were to launch the car at 5000 Rpms He would spin....thus needing Slicks to get the maximum ET out of the car. Easing it off the line each time is not the ideal way to get the best time

Yes I ran a 13.55 @ 103 mph stock
Im not sure im getting your comment that he cant get much more then that out of it. If he were to have slicks on the car as it sits right now.... launching at 4500+ Rpms cutting a 1.7 60ft...he would be running in the 13.1 range.

Re: Ran the 09 GT @ TRP
Sorry bout the brake checking lol... Thanks for the compliment on the lights it was a huge help. Tim u are 100% correct it's JST4FUN!!! Oh and the hazzard lights really was an accident (I use the traction control to leave then turn it off as i am shifting into 2nd) i didn't even know how or where they were to turn off the getleman with the white cs gt had to turn em off for me..
I think that slicks would really helkp it out i could leave alot harder then maybe some 13.20's or so but idk.. I never thought much of these cars until i drove this one and i really love it, it's so dang easy to drive thats for sure and there is a ton more power out there for em. I've been told that there's no way that car could run those kinda #'s though with even slicks so i guess i'll jst have top go show em huh!!??!!

Re: Ran the 09 GT @ TRP
These cars def have some fun factor. Your already at a 13.5....I garuntee with slicks, gears, CAI and a tune and your right where I am....in the 12s. Heck as it sits right now...I think with 4.10s and some slicks and your in the 12s. I'd take that bet
Heck you havent even freed up the HP in the motor with a tune. That hesitation your feeling in the gas pedal is eliminated....you free up 30 rwhp....now thats some improvement.
