Alabama and tickets

Post by Papi on July 21st 2009, 1:59 pm

Well i'm back from Alabama and i have some good news. i donm't have to pay for the tickets but i do have to go to defensive driving school for 8 hours. All i hvae to do is pay for the court fee of $130. I just have to pass the class and Thats it. I was lucky cause the baillif (spelling?) was in the court room all by her self and i was shooting the shit with her. She has a Yell Nissan Z and i complimented her on it and then i was just telling her my story of what happen to me. I turned out really well. she told me what to do when i talk to the judge. The prosicuter (spelling ?) walked in and and the baillif talked to her in the halway and I hear one of them say "Tulsa". I knew it was about me. The cam back in and the procicuter tlked to me and cut me a brake. The cop never showed up any way. SOOOOOOOO... all i have to do is 8 hours of school and pass it. the tickets will be no more. yeah!!!!. Its good to have Latino Heat. LOL!!!! allhail flame applause

Not sure about specifics in Alabama, but in Oklahoma municipal court the cop DOES NOT have to appear on the assigned court date for all citations he (or she) writes - he (or she) must only appear IF the defendant pleads "Not Guilty" and requests a trial by either court or jury. Then, the officer who issued the citation would most likely be issued a summons as a material witness for the prosecution and would have to appear in court. As this was Hector's initial appearance on the charge, and the city attorney (or prosecutor) offered a deal that Hector accepted; Hector would have had to have pled "Guilty" or "No Lo Contendre" to the reduced deal - therefore, he didn't plead "Not Guilty" and did not request a trial! This is a very good outcome for Hector; sounds like after completion of the driving school the charges will be dismissed.

I just have to call a number on the paper work the judge gave me and they will find a place out here that i can take the class. All i got to do is pass it and I'll be all gooooood. I might try and see if i can get my paper work faxed instead of taking it to them. pay the court cost over the phone or mail a check.

+1 had to do it once years ago after an aggrivated speeding ticket along with 120 hours of community service to get out of the ticket. It sucked but kept it off my record. The dd class is uber easy though.

Well since he "traded" his chevy I guess this would be true. However I think you meant to say "traitor" as in Bennedict Arnold. Lol. Sally spell check and grammar assist FTW!
