dont understant how to chip my car

i understand how to tune my car with a tuner, how does a chip work??? i will be home in march time frame just to let you guys know cant wat to get home and work on my car!!

Forget the Chip...stick with the hand held tuner.

Yep. I know SCT makes a chip that will hold like 5 custom tunes. However, if you change your setup you have to send it back in to have it reprogrammed or find a dealer that will do it.

The handheld tuner eliminates all of that. You can make most changes yourself and if a major programing change needs to be made, the new tunes can be emailed. Plus with the handheld you can read and clear trouble codes, data log, etc.

Chips were great for the old EECIV but since they added the OBD2 port in 96... the chips became outdated.

Yes the chips are cheaper.... but there is a reason why.

I love chips,especially the ruffles.Pringles aren't to bad. Just make sure they aren't out dated.

One of the main reasons I didn't want to mess with my old 95 cobra no more. Hardly anyone knew how to tune those with chips, very outdated as stated. For me, basically I was gonna have to go to a FAST system or something and it was way to much money for my pos 95.

so basicaly it is old technalgy (i misspelled it i now) and out of date like old people that need natural chips. i will stick with my tunner, thanks
