Tranny Problems

Post by 03.sonicblue on October 12th 2009, 8:47 pm

Well, she broke and broke good. The 4th gear syncro has some tabs on it and one got stuck preventing the syncro from sliding, locking the car in 4th. Thanks to: Ronnie, Paul, Dein, and Jarrod, we got the transmission taken out on sunday and over to Greg. Greg got it taken apart today and found the cause. If greg jumps on he will be able to better explain some of the pictures. Anywho, he did say it was in excellent condition and looked like it had minimal wear and the issue with the syncro is a common one with the t-56's

I think the little pieces are what broke.

Hey.... Look, Jarrod looks like he is sleeping! For the record: Jerry, Ronnie, and I were the ones that successfully removed the transmission..... Cause we are the shit! We annoyed Paul so much he had to leave. As soon as he did... we struggled badly. You shouldn't annoy Paul... He's not use to working with morons like us.

That looks so unfun working on the ground, brings back bad memories way back when doing cam install on the 95 cobra in 20 degree weather! How did the clutch look?
