Re: recommend a shop to rebuild a 4.6 two valve anybody
Greg is definitely someone I would talk to for this. He could get you what you need. Do some research as well...There are a ton of crate motors out there.
I wouldnt rebuild your 2003 GT 4.6 motor, I would just order a Forged crate motor shortblock.
Here is an example: http://www.roushyatesparts.com/4_6L_2V_4V_ALUMINATOR_SHORTBLOCK_SC_p/m-6009-a46scb.htm
This motor comes forged for $4300 and will fit your car with minor modifications. This motor has 8.5:1 compression so its supercharger friendly and ready.
Then you could order a supercharger kit for it and call it a day.

He has everything. Need 2.0 or 2.3 Pinto motor? He has it. Need a 6 hp Briggs and Straton? He has it. 1855 Steam Powered Locomotive? He has it.

He can chime in here, but i think he has a couple extra blocks lying around. Not sure if they are 2v or 3v.

Get rid of the 2 valve block and go with a teksid block cobra crank manley rods and pistons compression will depend on boost and type of blower trickflow heads or ported heads and blower cams.

Re: recommend a shop to rebuild a 4.6 two valve anybody
The above parts + lots of boost = big smile

To the OP, if your gonna spend that kind of coin, I would the shortblock that Greg mentioned with TrickFlow heads and put an 76mm turbo on it! That thing would fly!

If you have the motor to handle it, I would go turbo in a heartbeat.

Turbo for track duty...but if your looking to play on the street a Twin Screw supercharger is where its at
Turbos are hell of fun too!! Crazy power in the upper RPMS

Re: recommend a shop to rebuild a 4.6 two valve anybody
A properly sized turbo, or even twins for that matter, would be good on the street.
