HOT ROD CAMS?? Interesting.....

I haven't really been paying attention much, but have you dynoed since the cams? It did sound pretty healthy, just way loud with the off road, I am just getting old I guess.

He told me about 375.

He said he couldn't feel really anything at all, but up top there was an increase. I think you'd see more with some head work.

i have my exhaust ready we just need a tech day if i get them sooner i want to put these in when we throw the pipes on

Yeah, after the cams in Chris car, I want cams for the Terminator. I would do it just for the sound, but the cams themselves are around $1200. Sucks having to buy 4 of them.

You will spend about 1700.00 all said and done. Cams,phaser lockouts,install and tune.

Oh I forgot the looks you get at a stop light,priceless. (this would make a good mastercard commercial)

You could do them much cheaper if you had someone that knew what they were doing...then get a tune

Whatever you think it would be hard pressed to get sombody to do these for free. Major teardown not somthing you want to be messing around with.

What major tear down? Timing chains have markings on the teeth....the tune would be the most difficult in my opinion

Chris....all you need is chewing gum and electrical tape. No actual tools required.

the army fix's every thing with 100 mile an hour tape (green duct tape) and 550 cord (nylon cord good to 550lbs)

Now when they say tear down an engine...it really means undressing it

yeah pretty much. not many people want to tear into the shortblock itself. possible yes, but who want's to take the chance. i just don't have all the proper tools. also given i haven't done it in like a decade......i'll leave mine to someone that does it for a living.

im with you chris if it takes greg (knowlegdable mechanic)7 to 8 hours ,it would probably take most on here 7 to 8 days
