SANTA MONICA, California — The 2010 Ford Mustang, thanks to a December sprint to the finish, won the pony car sales race over the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro.
And it wasn't as close as anticipated.
Ford Mustang sales came in at 66,623 vehicles; General Motors sold 61,618 Chevrolet Camaros.
Edmunds.com had estimated the Camaro had a shot at beating the
Mustang. Camaro sales had increased month by month while the Mustang's
fell. And GM had insisted it would win.
But in the end, it became clear Ford was not about to give up its
sales title. In December, Ford sold 6,327 Mustangs. That was 62 percent
more than December a year ago and significantly more than the 3,627 it
sold in November.
Inside Line says: In 2010, the race
continues with Ford and Chevrolet upping the ante — Ford with the more

I don't mind the way they look.... pretty cool actually. Hate the interior and overall quality. Cheap plastic. Blind spots galore! iAnd yes I've driven one. The V6 was pretty nice. Good power, etc.... HATED the interior.

I think a good portion of the sales can be chalked up to the general public bailing from the bailout recipiants. People are angry and are flexing their muscle where they can.

Don't like it, no sir, don't like it a bit.
It's just a car, an overpriced piece of equipment. Mustang, by far, outweighs the vette, camaro or anything in value for price.

Anyone who knows me knows that I love the mustang. But the new Z06 really has me thinking this will be the next toy. It won't happen anytime soon. To much to do and BUY with the business. I just have to fight the temptation for a little while longer.

Anyone who really wants one, should get on. I just don't see paying that kind of money for a vehicle that doesn't have comparative value for price. I'd choose a Mustang over anything, for value and "joyride" happiness.
Can't justify a car that costs more than my house, lol. But if I win the lottery, 6 lucky fools will be recipients of their dream cars (need to get rid of some of the money) . . .
