MS150
I volunteer for a bicycle ride that is 150 miles from Tulsa to Oklahoma City and it helps raise money for Multiple Sclerosis. A dealership donates brand new trucks every year for us to drive. Basically what you do is drive up and down the route to make sure everyone is ok. If they are hurt or cannot ride their bicycles anymore you pick them up and take them to the next rest stop or the OU bus. There is a special sign they give you so it is obvious if they need help! It’s a two day event and we camp out Saturday night and have a huge party! There is free beer and free food and it’s always a life changing event for most (if you have a heart). You get to hear the stories of how this has affected people’s lives and even have people riding their bikes that have Multiple Sclerosis. I know this isn’t for most people but we might need some more drivers and I thought this would be a great place to ask! If you are the slight bit interested let me know…its not until September 25th so we still have plenty of time. I just got the phone call today from my buddy Mike who heads it up and I told him I would ask around. Thank you guys!

Re: MS150
The MS 150 rocks! I use to ride it all time. A few years back.... I use to captain the "No Cry Babies Cycling Team" sponsored by the Blue Rose. The MS 150 was our flagship ride. Awesome event and always has great organization.
It sounds like you're needing drivers for the SAG (Support And Gear) wagons. Correct?
I'm actually going to try to ride it this year... I'm sure we can get some drivers. Who is organizing it? Is Joanne still running the show or did she retire?

I do this ride every year as physically possible (first ride in 1992). Last year I rode with the Knights of Columbus team but usually ride solo. A friend and fellow mustang lover, Rick Feuerborn, is on the planning committe and helped map the route last year.
If there are any other cyclists here, maybe we could have a BMMC Team?
JoAnne did retire a couple of years ago. Blaine King is the main contact now, IIRC. blaine.king@oke.nmss.org
Even if you've never ridden a bike that far, this is a fun event. There are rest stops every 10 miles (sometimes with free massages)
so think of it as several short rides, all in two days.........Free lunches, dinner, breakfasts.....Oh yeah and did someone mention FREE BEER!!!!
