race car pics

heres a few pics of my 69 race car. we bought the car as a roller and i have decided to cut the roll cage out and put in a new one. it looked like it might have been in a car or two before this one and when i looked out the window the upper bar was about in the middle of my forehead sooooooooooo now that the car is getting dialed in i think it could hit high 8's at around 150 and that would be no good to crash. anyway here she is at begining of work.

i have went 9.2x at 141 on race gas. since have set up on alke. i went out last year launched hard wheels up and a ladder bar tore off the rear end ( some more of the fine work that was done before we got the car) i kept her off the wall but was glad the car beside me was fast to and got by before i slide into his lane. we are bout to get it all redone now i will post some more pics as progress happens. i ordered a 10pt cage kit from s&w racecars witha funny car conversion that will wrap around the driver head area. the car should feel much safer here pretty soon.

why does it have a radiator with a block that's been grouted?

Very nice. Big improvement on the roll cage, very nicely put together. Again, want to come out and see this thing run.

i grouted the block to the bottom of water pump so i get the support on the cylinders but i can still flow through the heads

i didnt know that worked lol, can you drive it normally without heating issues?

well i dont know if i would go that far but its the best of both worlds.
