02 F150 Problem PLEASE HELP!!

Hey all-

My 02 F150 battery light came on, getting on the highway today; but immediatly went off. Then on the way back it came on and would flicker but when I pushed on the gas it went solid (on). Is this an alternator issue or battery issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Probably alternator going out, Mikey.

My 01 Excursion i had was doing that back in december, ford suggested thoroughly cleaning the battery terminals and coating them. I did it and it worked, hasn't been on since. Don't know if this will fix yours or not, but its a cheap and easy start.

Mikey... Do you have a multi meter? Easy to figure out if it's the battery of alternator if you do.

Alternator is going bad, see it all the time, turn you a/c on full blast and headlights on, I bet the light will flicker on.

Yah I went ahead and changed the alternator, with the help of Jerry. Guess we will see what happens.
