Damn a/c

Well my a/c decided to go out right when the hot weather starts hittin. Well it doesn't matter what I turn it to it will only come out of the defroster vents... Anyone have any ideas as to what this could be?

Is it blowing cold air? Maybe vacuum line.

It is blowig cold air just not out of the front vents. Ty for sharing that find mikey it sounds like the exact same problem. I'll check it when I get back in town.

True story, my kid's Jeep Cherokee has the same problem, dealer told her how to fix it on the cheap :) Vacuum hose under the battery tray had a crack.

crazy. my air dont get cold either... i just thought it was because it is a POS R12 system.

Mine wont get cold in my cherokee because a metal line behind my dash has a hole in it, hope yours is that easy! I abandon my Jeep in the summer, too damn hot and too expensive to fix
