Need suggestions... stuck in 4th gear

So I was getting on 169 and couldnt get out of 4th and could not get any other gears... I got off the highway and limped it home 10 miles in 4th, not very fun.

Im gonna try adding some fluid in the morning, any other suggestions? I can get in neutral now, but its either that or 4th

my shifter handle is also really hot

uhhh crap you may have blown your tranny. ive never seen one stick in fourth, broken shifting forks maybe?

Sounds like a bent shift fork.. but could be anything. Lotsa moving parts in there... Call me tomorrow Chris.

I think we didnt fill it with enough fluid when we changed it... yesterday morning I got it to finally go in and out of gears after some "force" and now runs ok, but all I did was get it into the garage.

Going to fill it with some more fluid and hope for the best, leonard said I might have overheated the bearings and hopefully i was lucky and didnt cause too much damage.

Luckily I have the SRT to drive right now!

Seems to be fine now. I'll monitor it for a while, but think I got lucky!

Thats no good, its such a helpless feeling... I just hope mine was just a few bearings overheated and not damaged

Yeah, I drove 20 miles home in 2nd, lol. Stop signs were a bear, had to keep restarting. Gotta look for a unit today
