Full newbie from Sand Springs
Hey everyone...Rob here from Sand Springs. First time Stang owner and already addicted.
We've got:
2010 Mustang GT Premium silver with CarFX "Ford Racing" decals and blue racing stripes
We've added:
Eibach lowering springs
FRPP shaker hood
Steeda CAI
Underdrive pulleys
Roush Extreme cat back system
SCT tuner (really needs a true dyno tune)
Upgraded head/foglights to HID
On the "to do" list:
Roush short throw
FRPP cams
possibly Paxton supercharger
then maybe some outside body mods
If you see us driving by honk! We're interested in cruises and what not...I'm still learning a lot about the car as this is really my first performance car.
Cya!
Rob (& wife Michelle)

Hey Pony,
I'm over near Keystone myself.
So far the people at CarFX have been decent. I usually don't mind to pay a little extra if I get good service but I wasn't aware of other shops in town (or who to trust). When I inquired with CarFX about the cams it seems he wanted to sell me on the loping sound (and how intimidating it would be to others) rather than telling me what performance gains I would get by installing them. Performance is first in my book.
You guys will probably see more of me here...

Re: Full newbie from Sand Springs
The loping sound is cool. I use to have comp cams Mutha thumpers. they were cool azz her but the bottom end sucks with stock gears. The power kicked in around 4000 rpm. I rather have the power than the sound if i was racing. The loping sound is cool when driving around town or for car shows. Maybe if my car had better mods, the cams would have worked better for me.

great looking ride!!!!!!!!
no frpp cams with a supercharger, bad combination. just asking for something to break. if you do cams and a blower you should do a set of cams specifically ground for a blower.

Rob, I would def like to see how yours will run against mine... I know that it wasn't a good take off.....
I think your car looks pretty damn good.... you need to s/c it tho...
I get alot of trash talk on here about my car... but it holds its own against s/c'ed 4.6L Mustangs (minus the 75lb boosted KB ponies! You guys know who I'm talkin about!)

Re: Full newbie from Sand Springs
I've been seriously contemplating the super charger...and the cams...was wondering how they would work together.
I can't find any information though about whether or not I should go with the Paxton setup or the FRPP SC'er...I'm kinda screwed because I have the FRPP shaker hood. I just want to make sure I'm not going to get short changed on performance by going with the Paxton setup.
Anyone have any technical/performance data between the two setups?
I've also just considered getting a 2011 5.0
Ahhhhhhhhhh I don't know what to do...LOL

Re: Full newbie from Sand Springs
The saleen super shaker is a nice setup. It gives added horsepower with the supercharger while retaining the stock look of the shaker hood.
