Re: What oil to use
Royal purple or Amsoil. Period. Expensive. But good stuff.

Re: What oil to use
Chris: That's what I USE to think.... look at the test i posted. Kinda scary.
In general driving... I'm sure you would be fine with any of them, but I do drive mine hard sometimes, so oil is cheap insurance.
(And thus starts the great oil debate.)

Re: What oil to use
Every website has soo many oil test and claims... same goes for air filters. If I had a brand new car, I might go with Amsoil or royal,,,, but its a waste on a car with 87K miles and you have no idea what they used.
But I am not disagreeing with you, just not worth it to me

Re: What oil to use
i run motorcraft in my gt500 and superduty. you can really tell a difference in the superduty between rotella and motorcraft truck runs much smoother. usually run mobil in wifes car. castrol in old hot rod the list goes on. everything is pretty decent as long as you keep it changed about every 3-4k miles and as long as you dont use pennzoil or some mystery black bottle you will be fine

Re: What oil to use
RP in the 07 and mobil 1 in everything else. i did just use some cheapy castrol dino oil in my 81 bronco. i'll change it to mobil 1 also as long as it doesn't die soon. seems to be running like a champ considering where it came from though

Re: What oil to use
RP mobil, valvoline. I have had good results with all three. The key is to pick one and stick with it as each has its own additives. The RP is expensive, but I have found you can go longer between changes on it as it does not seem to break down as quick.
