My buddies 98 GT is running really rough at idle... after about 2000-2200 RPM it smooths out and seems to get better. anybody know what could be goin on?

Re: Car is running rough?
Would be helpful to have a little more information. Has he ruled out the general maintenance items such as spark plugs, fuel filter, air filter etc? If it's running rough down low a dirty air filter could be to blame. Same with a clogged fuel filter. Or plugs for that matter. If those items are definately not the issue then a more thorough check is necessary. Could be as simple as an accessory dragging or a dirty IAC solenoid. Hard to say without more info

Re: Car is running rough?
if all else fails get you some sea foam. i just did all that on mine. was a good time. cleaned the k&n new plugs fuel fiter was installed backwards (thanks john vance ford techs) and ran a 1/3 of a can of sea foam thru the vaccume lines let her sit for a few. made a fun smoke show for a mile or so and shes runnin better than when i bought it.
on a side note that shit is amazing. i do a lot of research on things before ill put them in my car and ive never heard anything bad. but for a car runnin a lil rough it can do the trick
