Daytime running lights
I have a 2008 V-6 that has daytime running lights, I was wondering if anybody knows how to dissable them. I purchased a pair of Halo Ring Head Lights, and I want the DTRL not to come on when I have my parking lights on. Have seen that you can pull the parking brake up one notch to dissable the DTRL, that does not work. Any help would be greatl.

Re: Daytime running lights
I have a Canadian friend with standard DRL's on his 09, he says locate the green wire with a black stripe going into the connector which
plugs into the DRL module and cut it, says it wont affect the park lamp light or anything else. Maybe worth a try, someone probably has a better way then this, im sure.

Thank you. I have read that on the internet, but dont think I want to cut any wires. I have heard that your computer has to be reprogramed. Joe Cooper Ford wants $150.00 to do that. I'm hopeing that there is a cheaper way than that.

Hadn't heard of this before. I'm sure there is a way to turn it off.

I know that there has to be a way to do it. I did try the parking brake trick and it does work, but I dont want to
drive around with my brake on. I do that and I will wear out my pads quicker.
