Re: 408/AFR's/150 Shot
Well I have had some good breaks and jobs in life so I'm a little better off than most my age..I had close to 35K in parts for the build I was going to do.So that covers all of it actually.

I wouldn't choke that motor with that intake manifold. Get a Super Victor Jr for it. It will work alot better than any RPM intake. With those heads, you will need a very aggressive cam and intake to really take advantage of them.

Re: 408/AFR's/150 Shot
I agree with Tim, totally. If this thing is still gonna be even remotely a streetable car, I wouldn't even bother getting the heads ported unless you plan on running 11.5:1 or higher comp ratio with a pretty healthy camshaft, well over .600" lift and 255 duration at .050. Trust me, I cam that size on something you might cruise on the street for any amount of time, is not that fun. UNLESS! you run an auto, then it's not so bad. Like Tim said though, definitely do not choke that sucker down with an RPM intake. Get a super victor or something, and leave it unported and it should work nicely. I'm all for making 800 hp, but it's tough to go all out NA (even if you are gonna add nitrous on top of that) and still maintain any inkling of streetability. Just my $.02
