4.5 magnitude earthquake hits Norman

At 9:06 am this morning a magnitude 4.5 earthquake hit Norman. Did anyone feel it? Desks shook here at work.

Holy crap.... I thought I lost my mind! My house shook real weird and I went outside and didnt see anything. Felt like someone hit my house with a car or my huge tree.

I had one of those, do I tell my wife I think Im crazy, moments!

I'm in Edmond at work and it was strong! My house is about 10 miles from the epicenter, need to go home at lunch and check on it.

Was curious how it felt there in the city.

It nearly tipped my iMac over, and our desks "danced" a little. Windows shook, building rumbled. I've heard that near my house, windows cracked, or rattled, foundations shifted. Don't know yet, can't get there for another hour or so.

Didn't feel a thing here. McKay texted and said he left it.

What did he leave??

Felt it downtown Tulsa, 8 floors up.

They say that it was felt from Texas to Missouri, with the center just east/northeast of Norman. That's quite a long "slide" of the plate.

we felt it up here in Kansas. i was telling a guy about it at work and he said it woke him up. he heard stuff rattling in his house and thought someone had broke in. i also told my boss that OU's stadium collapsed (big sooner nut hugger).

All is well, no damage :)

felt it here. shook the house a little,my parrot flipped out that was about it.

One end of the jail felt it barely. I got nothing in my office. That's a huge distance on the fault line though.
