Anyone for 7.5" Rear Gear Install?
Since I have decided to go ahead and keep my car, I want to make the best of it. I've had these 3.73 gears and a Traction Lok unit sitting in my closet for months, and keep talking myself out of doing the install. Never done gears before, pretty much the only thing I haven't done to a car yet, so looking for some good tips, or maybe having a cookout that we could get it done at.
Some places I have called won't do it because it's a 7.5. Something about not having the bar that holds the front of the rear end still while the shims are installed. Dunno, never done it so don't really know what's going in in there...
Anyone up to the challenge?

Anyone up to the challenge?

Procedure is the same as an 8.8 however this is really not something you want to do if you have little or no experience. I would suggest either KBcal or benji at BHF. Both can handle the set up and install fir a very reasonable amount.

Oh def. Its not something i want to do solo my first time around. Would prefer an individual over a shop tho, as id like to have involvement so i can learn instead of just having it done for me...
