I want a Supercharger

Post by MustangFanatic07 on December 18th 2010, 11:50 am

And i think why is because Cory just got his car turboed and now im having the itch for a supercharger. I've been wanting one for quite a while though but its really itchin at me.

So that being said, What all do i need to get to make this happen, besides the actual supercharge itself.

Edit:ok so what ever i get its going to all come with it than.

It's either going to be a Ford, Roush or Saleen, just to be safe with warranty stuff

Amanda.....most Supercharger kits come with everything you need. Its like a Plug and play setup. For example...here is the saleen setup

Saleen Option-- http://www.brenspeed.com/10-1607-b15058-.html

ALEEN 3V SUPERCHARGER 475 HP PACKAGE
Series VI integrated Twin Screw supercharger with two-stage water-to-air intercooling system.
FITS 05-2009 MUSTANG GT
(07-09 Mustang add optional Ford coolant kit)

In our opinion the Saleen twin screw supercharger is the most reliable supercharger system for the money. This 475 horsepower kit is an OEM Saleen produced supercharger package. It will create 5 to 5.5 psi of boost and is delivered to you with everything needed to install and start the vehicle. Included you will find the Saleen supercharger system, 39 lb Ford Racing fuel injectors, Saleen inlet pipe, Saleen air box lid, and the 475 HP Saleen Powerflash.

The Saleen has a unique design with a twin screw blower assembly that will push air directly into the combustion chamber. It is compact, light weight, and highly efficient. The blower housing, assembly and intercooler in one compact units nestles neatly in the valley between your cylinder heads. This Saleen supercharger package benefits from a Saleen power flash performance computer. A pre-labeled box is included so you can next day air your PCM to Saleen for a proper computer calibration. Brenspeed is an authorized Speedlab installation facility with installation starting at only $650! Allow Brenspeed to install this package and keep your factory 3 year 36,000 mile warranty!

Note: 2007 to 2009 Model year Mustangs require a 05-06 Coolant conversion kit which is available by using the option tab above.

I would do a Whipple/Ford Racing 2.3L SC, it comes with everything and is warrantied by Ford. And also don't forget you will need gauges.

imo the best gauge pods are made by speed of sound (http://www.speedofsoundllc.com/). if you want your gauges on the A pillar they use a new ford A pillar and attach their pods to it. the pods are a perfect match to the factory plastic. all you have to do is insert gauges & install the new pillar.
