4th Annual Mods Vs Rods Fall 2011 Tulsa Raceway Park

Word on the street is that we are going to have another Mods vs Rods race come Fall 2011, exact date will be set in stone soon so keep posted for that.

So since we don't have shit going on this winter and no one has any winter plans/mods (j/k) we have plenty of time to get this thing put together and hashed out. Plenty of ideas have been brought up from the past three years, alot from this year.

We would like comments/suggestions to how everyone liked how this year was ran and/or how it has been ran in the past. We are not looking for a bash fest either, just good comments/suggestions.

Since we have almost a full year before the race I figure we should have something set in stone for how the race is to run by the Mid America Ford Meet that way can do a little advertising during that event as well.

We will be looking for any sponsors that want to contribute to the race in return for advertisement before/during the race along with T-Shirts/Flyers. Contributions do not have to be in cash form, services/parts/gift cards/etc will be accepted.

I think had the weather not been a factor this year it would have been the best year of the three with the most cars. Of course weather in the Fall always plays a part in this so we will have to make due with what we got when it rolls around.

Last year we had a vote of how everyone thought the race should be run and I worked okay, Im sure we will do something of the same manner again but have to take into consideration the car count with a vote as well.

Who knows maybe this year we can get a portable dyno to come out and we can have a dyno day as well out there, pending approval from TRP. A lot of folks liked this idea but it didn't work out.

The car show was not advertised properly, hell the whole show was not advertised properly but we have a lot more time and should have 4-6 months of advertisement before the race.

I can go on and on about this thing but what is needed is involvement on raceday from everyone to make this a ongoing race that people will want to come out to. Who knew we would have some low 8 sec cars come out and make some passes? Pretty sweet to see them come out and play.
