new wheels and tires, NITTO INVO's!

Post by ARMORINE on January 10th 2011, 8:50 pm

well i finally got my new wheels and tires on. Nitto Invo's and CS56 Gen 2 18" rims. i would like to say everything went smoothly but it never does, but can i say it was worth the wait! LOVE the new tires.even being 10mm smaller they grab just as good as the f1 eagle supercar tires in the straights, they feel confident in the corners too though i haven't had alot of driving time with them. ive put about 200 miles on them since they were put on. the rides been smoother and SUPER quite. no more highway drone from the tires. i'll post updates as they start to wear so far these tires are very promising. love em!

OLD tires
front 255/45/18
back:285/40/18

new tires
front size: 255/40/18
back size: 275/40/18

interesting tread pattern

theyr machined to accept big brakes, my old ones wouldnt accept stock gt500 brakes, these will fit the 6 piston extreme series

Good luck getting those lug nuts off, I used a 3/4 inch impact to tighten them sob's on, let the next poor bastard fight a shattered wheel lock like I did! ;) The tires did seem really nice though, seemed halfway sticky for street tire, kicking rocks up for sure in the fender.
