I like the stripe, but to me something aftermarket exclaiming you are supercharged means you either have too much pride or you have self esteem issues

Dear god! Man I feel really bad for you, you should have NOT bought that car. That car was taken back from a buddy of mine and it was a mess! Throwing a fuel code and would not run AT ALL above 4200 rpm. And I'm pretty sure it was in an accident seeing as the front bumper had a salvage yard tag on the underside of it. I hope the dealership fixed before you bought it, my friend had gotten bad gas in it also.

Oh now Chase, don't go scaring Woody... He really enjoys this car, and I can tell he is going to take good care of her. She just has some issues we have to figure out.

Was it repo'd or what?

Yeah it was rep'd, He didn't have a job and just let it go back. Supposedly getting a C5Z now. And I don't mean to scare him I just want him to know the problems, did you sell it too him? Sorry if you did but he needs to know what is wrong.

Chase thanks for the input. Did your friend know why it wouldnt go above 4200? Did he ever get the fuel pump replaced and the injectors flushed from the bad gas?

Hope there is no lasting damage from the previous owner...

From what he told me it was fixed, had new pumps and said it had new 39lb injectors. Which is what his bill said. And no, when it went back t was still messing up every time he drove it. The power was down also, compared to my M112 car at least. And he never figured it out, I drove it one time and floored it, exactly at 4200 rpm, well +/- 100 rpm it just stopped producing power.

that's what Woody's car is doing now. No, he bought it from Vision Motorsports here in Owasso. Think they got it at auction.

If we can figure out the fuel problem (as a club), it should be a great car.

Thanks for the info Chace...to bad your friend didn't take better care of a awesome car.it's really not in that bad shape ..but I do thank him for letting it go to auction alowing me to get a smok'en deal on a great daily driver.the fun of having a car like this is driving it and I get to commute 60 miles a day in it and not cringe every time a spec of dust gets on the hood. As for the 4200 rpm prob it's still there I haven't had alot of time to track it down. But I'm sure it's not a MAJOR problem that can't be repaired. As soon as weather and time allows it will be a screaming machine once again.

Hey Woody...have you checked any of the possibilites we listed above? Cleaning the MAF and IAC, checking voltage, etc?

Mass Air Flow...still could be shot.

Might get it on the dyno and see whats going on.

Okay so it was still doing it. But yeah he really didn't take that good care of it. It was also smoked in. And the exhaust was some crap he rigged up.

Woody might need a prescription drug after hes found all of the shenanigans with this car. Hopefully all is fixable...if so it should turn out to be a great car. Just needs some TLC

The Cobra is running right again.. I put a Kenny Bell boost a pump on it and it fixed the 4200 rpm problem.. I am assuming one or both of my pumps are weak and the extra volts from the boost a pump will tell me soon enough.I am only running it at 20%.. I got such a good deal on the booster I couldn't resist buying it and trying..it had the fuel pressure just not enough flow at high rpm...it's running strong now...
