Am I fast or are a Cobra's slower than I thought?
Alright so rolling down memorial tonight, damn look at that cobra, figure I'll race it just to see how bad I can get sh**ed on. So we do like a 30-35 roll in second, I even don't go right away since I was the one honking and I didn't want the advantage and we stayed dead even the entire way up to about 60 then I had to stop because of a car in front of me. So I wanna know how in the world is this possible I thought cobras flew?

Couldve been higher gear, may not be at full throttle, may not really care and wanted to mess with a gt... he had 100 hp on u and weighs a lot less, she shouldve killed you...

What Cobra exactly? If it was an 03/04 Idfk what happened. If it was 99/01 you might have had a chance, I guess driver mod?

if it was a 99/01 he definitly had a chance, if it was a terminator then the termi was just toying with him lol.

Both cars weigh exactly the same or very close....His S197 might even weigh less. Cobra weighs around 3650lbs S197 can tip the scales at less that 3600 if its not optioned up. Also its very possible to hang with a terminator. My bolt on S197 would hang right with Jerrys Cobra 1st and all through 2nd....3rd gear is when we would separate. The OPs car has 4.10 gears and a list of bolt ons. I would estimate he is probably at or around 300 rwhp. Same weight and better gearing on his part makes it possible to hang right with an 03/04 through one gear. Any more than that and the advantage goes to the Cobra and he will see tailights.
My bolt on S197 dyno'd 317 rwhp and 325 rwtq. On stickies it would pull mid to upper 12s at around 109-110 mph consistently given good air. Low 12s would have been possible if the driver was better.....Davids S197 was low 12s....best of 12.39 at 110 and ran right with Jerry all the way down the track even through the traps. Given that we are only talking 2nd gear run...id say its possible the story is legit....Given that its not a body kit car as his buddy thinks it may be....

What was on it, yeah I heard mine makes around 350 fly, only thing i can think of to add bold on wise is coil packs.

You dont need coil packs..the stock ones are perfectly fine and will support big HP. And there are still plenty of bolt ons for your car as I already know most of your mods.... CMCV Delete Plates, Cams, Fast intake, One piece Aluminum drive shaft (saves on rotation wight, therefore frees up HP), and Long tube headers (your shorty headers you have now add next to nothing for HP...the stock shorties flowed just as much more than likely).
You can also add performance in suspension work...getting the power to the ground and hooking is just a essential in making the power. Lower control arms, adjustable upper control arm, D-Spec shocks, sticky tire etc

Driveshaft and lightweight flywheel combo would be worth a small gain. Sticky tires I'd say are a must have then the most important driver mod. It's free!

Yup, there is no more of a performance gain than actually knowing how to drive your car...
Who did your gear install?
