Wheel repaint?

Wheel repaint?
So the wife came home yesterday and HATES the wheels... she doesn't hate the design, just the color... she says they look like the hubcaps came off on Paul's Sable...
I posted pics on some other forums, and people don't like the flat black on silver look.
Since I am going to strip/blast them and repaint anyway, what are your opinions on the paint color? Obviously since I am repainting, I am open to suggestions.
Showed my wife some pics, and she likes the black chrome look, but it's a bit too flashy for me. Thought about the gloss black with polished lip look, but that could prove difficult to do on my own...
Sent a few e-mails out to local Powdercoat companies to get some quotes to see what it would cost for a good coat on the wheels in either black or black chrome, but don't want to dump much money into these, as they are hopefully just a temporary stop in the road...

Re: Wheel repaint?
I thought they were a gloss black? Guess not. Well if it were my car I'd go with a chrome look or a gloss black if you have to get them refinished. And I'd do the powdercoating instead of paint. Especially if you plan to flip them in the future and get something different.

Re: Wheel repaint?
I think they are gloss, but he only did 2 coats of paint and 1 coat of clear. Going to strip them and redo with some more coats. I will probably be fine with gloss black...

Re: Wheel repaint?
Dupli-Color makes a pretty product. Have you check them out?
BTW... you wish you could roll with my DD Sable.

I fail to see an issue.
