Good caliper paint?
Whats the best paint to use on calipers that doesnt come in a spray can? Wanting to paint my calipers since everything is open now, but dont want to deal with overspray. I know autozone sells the red brush on kit, but is there a way to get other colors?

Re: Good caliper paint?
I did the black brush on kit from O'rielly's, Amanda (MustangFanatic 07) did the same kit in red. I think they both look pretty nice. Kit was about $20. The whole key is prep, clean, and patience. Comes in a few colors, buy an extra can of cleaner.

Yea, looked on the site and they offer it in the color I want, now I just have to find it locally... both Autozone's around here have Red only... will check a few more after work tomorrow...

Re: Good caliper paint?
G2 caliper paint is very good quality. A little more expensive than your average caliper paint. But I definitely recommend it! Used it on my 06..

well including jacking the car up, pulling the wheels, and stopping for beer and Paul's meat here and there about 2 hours. If its nice and fairly warm do one axle at a time. By the time you finish both sides the first is ready for a re-coat, and on and on. I think I did 4 coats total front and back. Bout an hour each. Wasn't bad at all, and definitely improved the look of the car.
Check O'riellys (mainly 46th and Memo, its the hub) that's where I got mine.

Re: Good caliper paint?
I did my mustang in blue and got it at the O'reillys at 81st/elm in Broken Arrow. Prep is the key, use the cleaner and an old toothbrush to really get all the dirt out. I did like 3 total coats of it, there is plenty in the kit.

Ok, cool... will have to do that here pretty soon... taking the wheels back off for a repaint this week, so will probably do this when I get them back from Bill...

Re: Good caliper paint?
I have a red GT2 paint kit I never used around here somewhere. Did the research a couple years ago and found that GT2 was one of the best options. Baught it and never used it.
