Few interesting things

It was just as fast around the track as a Monaro(aka GTO) and the Wrx Sti was barely faster

It was also slower than the 35Hp less Roush by 2 seconds around the track. That suspension on the Roush really made a difference.

all they hated was the live axle... but shows what some suspension mods will do for the car.

But to be honest I didn't think the suspension was all that weak in stock form. It handles a little better (read stiffer) after the addition of the Ford Racing springs but overall I thought the car was pretty stout in that area stock. Would have run circles around my old 06 GT in stock form. IMO the only big weakness in the stock setup is the wheelhop due to the crappy stamped control arms. I can't understand how if the wheelhop was an issue in the GT trying to get 300hp to the ground how they thought that the same design with just a slightly different durometer bushing would get 500hp to the ground? They had to have experienced the wheel hop in testing.
