Sounds Like Crickets?

Post by Ol_Betsy2 on May 17th 2011, 4:50 pm

So took a little drive to the Post Office today, and I heard some little squeaks that sounded like crickets coming from somewhere? It wasn't constant just like when I hit a bump or something? Should I be worried?

Park the car running and look under the hood. Try and pinpoint the source

Probably the shock or strut bushings. Maybe control arm bushings if it was while the suspension was in motion.

OK so no sounds I guess when I just started it. I did have to get a new front right tire and rim, alignment, new tie rod, and steering alignment stuff done back at the end of January? lol NSU had a water leak and I didn't think it was cold enough for it to freeze, and my rear end slid into the right lane and slamed my front right tire into the curb and jacked some stuff up. I was upset :( lol

This was January 2nd. Great way to start off the year huh? I was coming south and slamed into the closest curb in the pic. My rims were really dirty by the way. . . . lol

How long we go usually depends on when we run out of beer!!
