I knew they would come out with something from Comp Cams...very pricey, but there are 4 of them.

hehe

This is a guess, but Im assuming hes referring to this being posted in General Chat, but could also be posted in the performance section of the forum.

No worries, works in both sections

So are there any specs on the cams yet?

the new coyote isnt as dependent on a s/c to make high numbers. one of the manufacturers got 506 rwhp out of a NA coyote. they can make some stupid power

I dont believe he mentioned the 5.0 being dependent on a S/C to make high numbers

How much money was put into the car to make 506 rwhp? And with all those modifications I garuntee you Gas Mileage has suffered greatly to make that kind of power N/A.

Supercharger is simple and gets the power without the hassle of numorous bolt ons which will add up to a blower in the end most likely

Its the preference of the individual.

My vote would be forced induction..BOOOM that just happened

Post by Shelby10' on June 1st 2011, 12:05 pm

JPC is the one that made 507rwhp with a coyote....and here is a list below of what he used and the cost for each. None of this includes labor if you choose to have someone else install it, nor does it include the cost of your dynotune, SCT Tuner, etc if you choose to not go with JPCs tune or Predetor

Pricing below is straight off their website.

$1,595.00 JPC CNC heads
$899.95 JPC cams
$529.00 Boss 302 Intake FRPP
$899.95 JPC long tube headers
$419.95 JPC off-road X pipe
$509.95 Bassani Race mufflers
$299.00 JLT CAI
$599.99 Diablo Custom JPC Tune
$5,752.79 Grand Total without labor

My vote is ONE BOLT ON....a supercharger lol! And have the capabilty to up the boost later for bigger power if your bottom end ever allows it. Supercharged coyotes are making 700rwhp+.....try to do that naturally aspirated under budget.

thats the thing i just love NA motors. theyr better for road racing. dont have the weight of a supercharger to fight. not that im against going s/c. i'll be doing a novi 2200 eventually.

all preference in the end.

VVT is whats going to prolly keep the cost up, average price for a set of Comps for our Machs is $1200.
