So guess what I did!

I changed my own oil all by myself! Just had some supervision. LOL! But I loved it! Just thought I'd let yall know.

Oh boy! I mean girl! Look at you! LOL... what is exhilarating? I need to change my oil tomorrow, want to come help?

So guess what this dumb girl did? When I thought I was changing my oil, I drained my transmission fluid instead of my oil. So I've been driven around for a week with 10 quarts of oil & no tranny fluid. I was so proud I thought but now I just wanna crawl in a hole & cry. :(

Do what! I guess that is possible since tranny has a drain plug on it. Gonna say tranny didn't like the no fluid part.

Yikes! Hope nothing bad happened to the lil girl...

so what's the verdict. did it die? you should fire whoever was supervising

I can't imagine how that thing drove for a week. Did you notice any difference in driving it like that? Like was mentioned above, I'd fire your supervision!!!! Pronto!!!!

Well, like when I'd have to slow down & when I'd give her some gas she wouldn't go anywhere, it would just rev up a sec then jump into gear & go. Sometimes she'd role backward & has only died twice at a stop light & when I parked once. I'm came home to Eufaula this weekend & when I was talking to Dad I figured out what I had done. There's not a lot of places to take her in this little po-dunk town either.

So is she okay?

I have no clue. She's still running & I guess I'm gonna try to find something out Monday.

i have a feeling your about to drop ALOT of money, Sorry this happened wish there was a way i could help ya out.

They was just a couple of your average Joes. Not car guys at all. It's my own fault. I shoulda known better than to do it.

did you try to refill the trans. if not i'd at least try that.

also you said you added more oil, but obviously you didn't check the engine oil level or you would have known it was over filled. so the next question is did you then drain the engine oil so it's not over filled.

So many issues... Rae lynn u need to move to tulsa so you can get help from real car guys...

shoot you could get help from my sister in broken arrow for that matter. one day she decided she wanted to rebuild her engine so she did. went out and bought both books and whatever she didn't understand she would just ask the guys at o'reilly's (she worked there). jeep ran great after she was done till the day she sold it a few years later

Well, obviously I didn't know what the fuck I was doing. I shoulda known better. But I learned my lesson so if I ever get her fixed I ain't touchn her. I guess I'm leaving her with the parents & gonna be driving Ol Betsy for a while.
