iPhone 1/4 mi time app

Post by hutchenstein on June 30th 2011, 10:02 pm

So, just curious, but I found an app a while back that clocks 0-60 and 1/4 mi times, G-force in the car, as well as estimated hp. It's made by Bosch so I figured it would be worth a try using. I was curious if anyone else had used this app or one similar to it and seen how accurate it actually is. Its a pretty cool concept using the phones accelerometer etc but I'm not sure how good it actually is. Thoughts?

Here is what the readout looks like:

And yes I know my car is fantastically slow...

Looks interesting, I have one built into my Nav unit. I may dowload it and compare the two.

I have a similar program for Android called aDyno. I've never run my car at the track to compare, but it's pretty neat...

Race Ace is another cool one. It uses the accellerometer combined with Google Maps to get a GPS location and you can trace the position of the track and it will tell you lap times.

I use Dynolious. It's an Iphone Ap and I think one of the first ones they made. Seems to work pretty good.
